Singing Souls

From left to right, Louise, Hannah, and Tasha

The Singing Souls are a singing trio who auditioned for Series 3 of Britain's Got Talent. The group consisted of Louise, Tasha and Hannah, students and lifelong friends from Wiltshire.

When they introduced themselves onstage, Simon humorously intended to mishear the name and called them 'The Singing Trolls'. When asked if they wanted to be as successful as the Spice Girls, Hannah responded that anyone could outsell them. In their audition, the trio sang ‘Taking Over Me’ by Evanesence. Their singing was out of tune, which in turn quickly caused their dreams to be short lived. Simon pressed his buzzer shortly after they started singing, and judges Amanda and Piers followed soon after.

Hannah was very unaccepting of criticism of the judges and responded angrily to the criticism, largely backfiring for her and making the audition rather infamous. Simon retaliated 'Look girls, you sounded like three cats being dragged up the motorway'. Hannah continued to argue and also made several comments about the Spice Girls. Many viewers were unhappy with Hannah's attitude, feeling like she was rather rude (people also noted her two friends did not react so strongly), and made matters worse for the trio.

Louise responded that while Cowell could be true, he could be rude. He viewed this as much more acceptable than Hannah’s attitude, which he commended her on (Tasha remained mostly silent). They were sent home during the audition stage of the competition.
