Melanie Bell & Jamie Gilpin are a mother and son singing duo who reached the Final of Britain's Got Talent in Series 10.
In their audition, they sang 'Say Something' by A Great Big World. David Walliams commented 'you made a really really beautiful song even more beautiful', whilst Simon complimented Mel by saying that she 'allowed it to be [Jamie's] song, but [her] harmonies actually improved the song'.
In the Semi-Final, they performed 'The Climb' by Miley Cyrus. David described it as 'really emotional', whilst Alesha said 'the public have really fallen in love with you two'. They advanced onto the judge’s vote which tied after they received two votes from Amanda & Simon, they advanced through to the final after it was revealed they placed 2nd in the competition instead of Kathleen Jenkins.
In the Final, they performed 'Love Can Build a Bridge' by The Judds. Amanda said 'I can just see you bringing out a country album', and Simon described it as 'as good as the first audition'. They finished in Twelfth Place in the public voting.
