Liam McNally

Liam McNally is a soprano who reached the Final of Series 4 of Britain's Got Talent. He was aged fourteen at the time of his audition. He hailed from New Moston, located in Greater Manchester. When asked where he saw himself in five years time, he responded 'singing in big venues around the world'.

In his audition, he sang 'Danny Boy' originally by Frederic Weatherly. Simon commented 'I wouldn't call you a good singer', before going on to add 'I would call you a fantastic singer'. Piers added 'It's probably too early to say this, but you are a serious contender to win [BGT]'.

In the Semi-Finals, he sang 'You Raise Me Up' by Josh Groban as spotlights on either corner of the stage shone upon him. Piers remarked 'I thought that was a fantastic performance', with Amanda adding 'Your really gutsy, really confident [and] you just look like you could go again'. He reached the Judges Vote and received votes from both Simon & Piers, however Amanda voted for A3, therefore McNally advanced onto the Final.

In the Final, he once again sang 'Danny Boy' originally by Frederic Weatherly, accompanied by a choir wherein every member wore white clothing towards the end of his performance. Amanda remarked 'You sang that beautifully, I was really touched by it [and] it was a very courageous and brave performance', with Simon adding 'Taking into account you only had twenty four hours, astonishingly you were note perfect throughout'. He ultimately concluded the Final in tenth place.
