Jordn O'Keefe

Jordan O'Keefe is a singer & guitarist who reached the Final of Britain's Got Talent in Series 7. He hailed from Londonderry which is located in Northern Ireland.

When asked if he had a job he stated that applied to college in order to take a course in music, however his father changed the course that he applied to, to business as he wanted him to have a back-up plan.

In his audition, O'Keefe sang 'Little Things' by One Direction as he played his guitar. Amanda described O'Keefe and his voice as 'Amazing', before Alesha asked what his dad would think of his performance before he stated that he wanted to go back to his dad and say he believed it went well, before Alesha informed him that he could 'Definitely' do that as he played the song 'perfectly'. Following his audition he phoned his father backstage and he responded 'Well done kid'.

In the Semi-Finals, O'Keefe performed 'I Will Always Love You' by Dolly Parton whilst playing his guitar. Simon remarked I've never heard a song like that particularly on a guitar and it’s made you stand out', with David adding 'There is something incredibly special about you'. He advanced onto the Judges vote and received two votes from both Simon & Alesha, however David & Amanda voted for Steve Hewlett, causing the vote to revert back to the Public Vote wherein O'Keefe placed second.

In the Final, O'Keefe performed 'Firework' by Katy Perry whilst playing the guitar. David described O'Keefe as a 'Ready made pop star [and] I can see you going on to be a huge star', with Amanda adding 'You sing so beautifully and so from the heart, you just capture me straight away and I think the entire audience as well'. He ultimately concluded the competition in sixth place.

O'Keefe later claimed in 2019, that the producers had told the contestants what to do as he had wanted to wear a shirt and be himself, however they insisted that he wore a blazer, and he alleged that they had picked the song 'Firework' for him despite the fact that it were not right for him.
