Tyler Patterson is a streetdancer who reached the Semi-Finals of Series 4 of Britain's Got Talent. He was aged nine at the time of his audition and hailed from Glasgow. When asked if he believed he could win the show he responded ‘definitely’.
In his audition, he performed a fast paced street dance routine to fast paced music, by moving his body around the stage at a fast pace and lifting one of his legs before later performing a spin upon the stage. Piers remarked that Patterson possessed ‘incredible natural talent’, with Amanda describing Patterson as a ‘firecracker’ adding her belief that ‘the standard of that dancing at [his] age, your brilliant’.
In the Semi-Finals, he performed another fast paced street dance routine to ‘Pass Out’ by Tinie Tempah after entering the stage wearing a cap, as alarms blared. He then performed several flips, removed his hat before performing several handstands, and span around before putting his hat back on and being locked in a large jail cell cage by some backing dancers dressed as prisoners. Amanda commented 'I think there's actually a few moves there that you could teach George Sampson', with Simon adding 'You've got the mind of a 25-30 year old [in] the way that you perform'.
