Alesha Dixon is a professional singer, and a judge on Britain's Got Talent. She has been a judge since Series 6. Before appearing on the show, she was a member of girl group Mis-Teeq, where she had seven Top 10 singles, including two #2 singles - 'All I Want' and 'Scandalous'.

In 2007, she won the fifth series of the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing and was later made a judge upon the seventh to ninth series of the show before quitting this role before the tenth series in order to judge BGT. In 2013, Dixon served as a guest mentor for Louis Walsh alongside X Factor series 11 Runner-Up Fleur East. In 2014, Dixon served as a guest judge during the first set of X Factor auditions in Manchester as Nicole Scherzinger had the inability to make these auditions due to prior commitments, she later stood in for Sharon Osbourne during the Edinburgh auditions due to Osbourne having a long standing back injury, and for Simon Cowell during the second live show as he had the inability to attend. In early 2019 & early 2020, Alesha Dixon hosted BBC's The Greatest Dancer alongside Diversity's Jordan Banjo, however the BBC later announced the cancellation of the show following its second series.

In Early 2020, Alesha was a judge on the second series of America's Got Talent: The Champions. In November 2021, Dixon appeared as a guest panellist on RuPaul's Drag Race UK for one episode within the shows third series. In December 2021, Dixon became a panellist on Simon Cowell's new show Walk The Line, which was a mixture of a Game Show and a Talent Show. In 2022, Dixon became a judge on the tenth series of Australia's Got Talent, alongside fellow BGT judge David Walliams.

In 2023, she was chosen to host the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool alongside actress Hannah Waddingham, Ukrainian singer Julia Sanina, and United Kingdom Eurovision commentator Graham Norton.

Preferred Acts[]

As a singer, Alesha is a fan of musical acts, especially RnB and soul acts. However, she is also known for her love of dance, being a former judge on Strictly Come Dancing as well as hosting dance shows on CBBC. Therefore a number of her favourite acts are dance acts, and she is often asked for her professional opinion on the dancers.
